Intuitive Riding Weekends

These weekends provide the opportunity to benefit from 4 consecutive sessions and a lunge session as well as the chance to really absorb and process a new and exciting approach to achieving harmony with your horse over 3 days. Spending time in a group, learning from Lucinda but also sharing experiences of the other participants and seeing the Bowhayes horses will send you home with a new perspective on how you can work WITH your horse for the months ahead. There will also be the added bonus of a DVD to refer back to showing your progress during the weekend.

Schooling Livery

 Send your horse for a weekend, a week, a month or remain on permanent livery: provided you are willing to embrace the stress-reduced naturalised lifestyle here, your horse will always be welcome. Lucinda does however advises on regular visits from the owner to monitor progress.

Lunge Sessions

Lucinda specialises in working with riders who have lost their confidence. By working through simple exercises riders can improve their 'feel' on the horse and build confidence in their ability, whilst identifying areas of tension that block their communication with the horse. This is particularly beneficial for riders that have suffered an accident or after bad habits and postural quirks have set in from riding difficult horses.

 We think of these sessions as an 'yoga on horseback'!

Horse Holidays

Come and stay for a holiday with your horse who can spend the night right outside your window and benefit from consecutive sessions within the Bowhayes environment.

Between sessions you can observe the ‘herds’ here and their daily routines. Whether it be for backing, problem-solving, transition to barefoot work, or competition and sales preparation, Lucinda solely works with every individual horse in her care.

Study Days

Come on a Study Day at Bowhayes Farm and see that there is ‘another way’ to work with a horse. Have the opportunity to discuss your horse’s problems and see or even ride the Bowhayes horses at close quarters.

Make a connection that will provide you with back-up and links to other therapists. These days are specifically tailored to your areas of interest, be it intuitive riding, the unshod horse or natural horse management and are available to a maximum of 4 participants. It is your day for you so let us know how best we can help you !

School Master Sessions

For those who have completed a number of sessions on the lunge and feel that they would like to progress we have the schoolmasters to help you do this.

Once fine-tuned by lunge horse Barty, it is time to move up to Panduc (aka Black) who can introduce you to the wonders of Piaffe and Passage in which he excels. Black will give you another ‘feel’ altogether! 

>The ID/TB Sandhills (aka Hilly) will give you the chance to experience expressive flying changes. He is very powerful and quite sensitive so you need to work to qualify to ride him !

The time when you know that we consider you advanced is when we bring out What a Boy (aka Borange), X-Factor Dressage Champion 2009 who has  defeated even an Olympic champions seat! If your seat can take it his extended trot will leave you with goose bumps!
