Worming

Any tips on keeping the weight on a 30year old TB x Welsh pony who's not a big eater would be gratefully received.

I would advise looking into having a worm count and using a product like Multiworm from Science with Nature, and some sort of feed balancer (I use Top Spec). I would also suggest that you contact Simple Systems feed company and ask their advice on your particular horse’s nutritional needs.

I understand from Nick Thompson that you don't use conventional wormers. I was wondering what wormers you do use and your success with them?

When worming my horses I use Multiworm from Science with Nature. In an ideal world I also rotate my grazing with other stock such as sheep and cattle, and rest every paddock for a six-week period to interrupt the worm cycle.
